What this site keeps, and what it doesn't.

Messages you send

The forms on this site send your email address, your name if you give it, your message, the topic you picked, any boxes you ticked, and the page you sent it from. It's stored in the site's database, and only the people who run the site can read it. It's used to reply to you, and for nothing else.

Messages are kept until they're deleted. A deleted message is kept for 90 more days, in case it was deleted by mistake, and then it's gone. To have yours deleted, send a message asking, from the same email address.

When a message arrives, the people who run the site can get a phone notification with its topic and the name you gave. The message itself isn't in the notification.

Visits

Visits are counted as totals: how many times each page was viewed each day, and roughly where visits came from, like TikTok or a Google search. There are no cookies, nothing is saved on your device, and nothing is kept that could identify you.

The services behind the site

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, its content and messages are stored with Supabase, and its fonts come from Google Fonts. Like any web service, they keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security and to keep things running, under their own privacy policies.

Links to other sites, like shelters, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Amazon and Buy Me a Coffee, take you to places with their own privacy policies.

Kids

This site isn't meant for children to send messages. If you're under 13, please ask a parent or guardian to get in touch for you.
